1. Pumpkin Everything by Beth Labonte
Rating: 4.5/5
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Comedy
Tropes: Small Town, Second Chances, Fall Vibes
Main Characters: Amy Fox, Kit Parker
What It's About:After years of living in the city, Amy Fox returns to her small hometown of Autumnboro to care for her grandfather and save the family pumpkin business. While there, she reconnects with her childhood crush, Kit, who now runs the local coffee shop. Sparks fly, but can they make it work after so many years apart?
Review:If you want a romance that just screams fall, this is it! The descriptions of small-town life, autumn festivals, and pumpkin-flavored everything make this the perfect cozy read. Amy and Kit have that perfect second-chance dynamic where the chemistry is immediate but complicated. The plot is a bit predictable (in the best way!), and it’s a total comfort read. Kit is so swoon-worthy, and the banter between them is adorable. Honestly, it’s like the book version of a Hallmark movie, and I’m here for it! If you’re craving all things fall, you’ll fall hard for this one.
2. The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker
Rating: 4.7/5
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Emotional
Tropes: Opposites Attract, Fish Out of Water, Remote Setting
Main Characters: Calla Fletcher, Jonah
What It's About:Calla Fletcher returns to the wilds of Alaska to reconnect with her estranged father, only to meet Jonah, a rugged, no-nonsense pilot who works for her father’s business. While Calla struggles to adapt to the harsh Alaskan environment, sparks fly between her and Jonah. But can a city girl and an outdoorsman really make it work?
Review:This one is such an emotional rollercoaster in the best way. The Alaskan setting gives it that perfect cold, remote fall vibe, and the relationship between Calla and Jonah is full of tension and chemistry. I love how K.A. Tucker explores not just romance but also family dynamics and personal growth. Jonah is the kind of grumpy, rough-around-the-edges hero who’s impossible not to love, and Calla’s transformation is so satisfying to watch. It’s an emotional, heartwarming read that feels perfect for chilly fall nights. You might need tissues, though!
3. Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter
Rating: 4.3/5
Genre: Christian Romance, Contemporary
Tropes: Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Sibling Romance
Main Characters: Grace Bennett, Wyatt Jennings
What It's About:Grace Bennett runs her family’s inn in the Blue Ridge Mountains and has always loved the cozy, quiet life. But when Wyatt Jennings, a former secret service agent and her brother’s best friend, returns to town, Grace realizes her feelings for him run deeper than friendship. Can they move past their complicated history to find love?
Review:This book is pure fall magic. The Blue Ridge Mountain setting makes for a gorgeous backdrop, and the descriptions of nature and cozy inns will have you wishing you were there. Grace and Wyatt have such a sweet, slow-burn romance, and their chemistry is off the charts. I love that it’s a friends-to-lovers story with deeper themes of healing and redemption. It’s definitely a faith-based romance, but it’s written in such a way that the themes feel natural and uplifting. If you’re in the mood for a clean, heartwarming romance, Autumn Skies will leave you smiling.
4. Well Met by Jen DeLuca
Rating: 4.6/5
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Rom-Com
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Small Town
Main Characters: Emily Parker, Simon Graham
What It's About:Emily moves to the small town of Willow Creek to help her sister recover from an accident and gets roped into volunteering at the local Renaissance Faire. There, she butts heads with the no-nonsense, brooding Simon, who runs the Faire. But as the Faire goes on, Emily starts to see a different side of Simon beneath his pirate costume...
Review:Renaissance Faire + fall vibes = the perfect cozy romance! The banter between Emily and Simon is top-tier, especially since they start off as enemies and slowly evolve into something more. There’s something so fun and magical about the Renaissance Faire setting, and it gives the book this whimsical, autumn festival vibe. Simon’s grumpy, brooding nature contrasts perfectly with Emily’s fun-loving personality, and the chemistry between them is 🔥. This is the perfect rom-com if you’re in the mood for something light, fun, and flirty with a dash of fall magic.
5. Love & Other Words by Christina Lauren
Rating: 4.9/5
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Emotional
Tropes: Second Chance Romance, Friends to Lovers, Dual Timelines
Main Characters: Macy Sorensen, Elliot Petropoulos
What It's About:Macy and Elliot were childhood friends who shared a love of books and words. But after a life-altering event, they grew apart. Years later, they’re reunited, and all those old feelings come rushing back. Can they move past the secrets and misunderstandings of the past to find their way back to each other?
Review:Oh my goodness, this book is everything. It’s one of the most beautiful, heartfelt second-chance romances I’ve ever read. The way the story alternates between the past and present creates so much tension, and the flashbacks to Macy and Elliot’s childhood fall days are so nostalgic and perfect. You’ll feel everything in this one—the heartbreak, the love, the yearning. It’s emotionally intense, so prepare for some major feels. The writing is absolutely stunning, and Macy and Elliot’s love story will stick with you long after you finish. This is the perfect book to curl up with on a crisp fall evening.
6. A September Bride by Kathryn Springer
Rating: 4.2/5
Genre: Inspirational Romance, Contemporary
Tropes: Fake Relationship, Small Town, Weddings
Main Characters: Annie Price, Jesse Kent
What It's About:Annie Price returns to her hometown to start fresh and takes a job planning her best friend’s wedding. But when the wedding photographer, Jesse Kent, mistakenly believes she’s the bride-to-be, the mix-up leads to a fake engagement. As Annie and Jesse spend more time together, they start to realize their feelings might not be so fake after all.
Review:This book is just as charming as it sounds. There’s something so sweet and wholesome about Annie and Jesse’s relationship, especially since it starts off with a classic fake-dating trope. The small-town setting in early fall gives it such a warm, cozy feel, and there are so many adorable wedding-themed moments. It’s a short, easy read, and perfect if you want something lighthearted and uplifting. It’s part of a series, but you don’t need to read the others to enjoy this one. If you love the idea of a fall wedding and fake-dating hijinks, A September Bride is the perfect choice.
